Amazed by Jesus

Many of us are derailed and conditioned to settle for less. We desire inspiring love but settle for mere tolerance in our relationships. We seek lasting peace but settle for lingering animosity in our hearts. We strive for longevity but settle for brevity with unavoidable death in our lives. God tells us not to settle for less. God's gift of sending us Jesus is his gracious invitation to stop living meaningless unamazing lives.

And these are the words of invitation by Rev Dr Chris Chia to the brothers and sisters of The Presbyterian Church in Singapore, English Presbytery, to gather for yet another season of our annual Easter Convention. This year, our convention theme was "Amazed by Jesus". And Rev Chris gave three talks entitled "Amazed Jesus' Love", "Amazed by Jesus' Peace" and "Amazed by Jesus' Death".

Our members gathered daily from 1st April 2015 to 3rd April 2015 for altogether three sessions of combined worship at True Way Presbyterian Church (Wednesday and Thursday nights) and the Singapore EXPO (Friday morning). Our Good Friday Service saw a record turnout of more than 4000 worshippers! We thank God for watching over the entire event and for the many lives touched over the 3 days.

Leaders and musicians of Ang Mo Kio Presbyterian Church, Amazing Grace Presbyterian Church, and True Way Presbyterian Church led us in worship over three blessed days of combined meetings.

Our once-a-year Easter Convention provides opportunities for members from various Presbyterian churches to catch up with one another.

More than 4000 members of The Presbyterian Church in Singapore, English Presbytery, gathered at the Singapore EXPO to observe Good Friday Service.
