Flood Relief for Churches in Cambodia
Due to the floods that rampaged the country and the COVID-19 pandemic, the churches in Cambodia and Cambodian people are facing a difficult situation, as their work and daily lives are disrupted. To address the urgent issue, the Synod Presbyterian Churches Cambodia (SPCC) reached out to the Presbyterian Church in Singapore (PCS), to help raise funding to buy rice and food to distribute to churches of SPCC, and also the community. To date, the Synod has received a total of S$17,060 from brothers and sisters in Christ from our member churches in Singapore, to help the churches and community in Cambodia. The funds raised will be used to:
For the past few months, with the approval of Synod Exco, the Synod Mission Committee (SMC) had made use of the funds for development initiatives for Cambodia, buying food, and supplies, including rice, noodles, drinking water, blankets, and more have been purchased and distributed to the churches in Cambodia, as well as the needy in the community. SPCC has since distributed rice and food to at least 363 families.
