Ministry to the Homeless in Singapore (Project Providence)
Due to the COVID-19 situation, many migrant workers have been affected adversely, not just in terms of losing their jobs, but even going without a roof on their heads. In response to this issue, the initiative "Project Providence" has been set up, with the team working in collaboration with Singapore Government agencies, Migrant Workers' Centre, SG Accident Help Center, The Salvation Army, Homeless Hearts of Singapore, HealthServe, YWAM, various churches and partner organisations. For more information on the initiative, you may visit their websites at www.projectprovidence.sg and homeless.sg. The team is currently appealing to the body of Christ in Singapore to consider hosting some migrant workers, or those made homeless by the COVID-19 pandemic, in the church premises. Churches that are willing and are able to be a host to the workers during the Circuit Breaker period may wish to reach out to us at office@presbysing.org.sg.
