Rt Rev Keith Lai, Moderator of PCS led the service, supported by Rev Teo Yew Tiong, General Secretary of PCS in Chinese. It was a joyful and touching ceremony with a song item by the children from ORPC Sunday School children “I’m trusting You!" and scripture reading in English and Chinese by 2 pre-school children, Ethan and Beatrice from ORPC and Grace Methodist Church respectively.
Two exhortations on the theme "Good news to the children" was given in English by Venerable Wong Tak Meng (Anglican) while Rev Dr Gregory Goh (MCS) gave the exhortation in Mandarin. The Rt Rev Terry Kee, Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Singapore (LCS) and President of National Council of Churches of Singapore led the teachers and all present in the reading of the Covenant and the Prayer of Dedication. The service was aimed at bringing together as many involved in preschool education as possible for a refreshing of the spirit and an acknowledgement of the glory of God for great things He has done, and will continue to do. This is symbolic of the commitment and unity of the Christian churches to ride the wave of change and face the challenges together.
